Different Ways You Can Mentor With Wisdom In Motion
At Wisdom In Motion, there is more than one way to make a difference in a young person’s life. Not every mentor serves in the same way, and we welcome adults with different gifts, schedules, and comfort levels.

One-on-One Mentor - Build a consistent relationship with a young person through encouragement, conversation, guidance, and regular connection over time.

Group Mentor - Support youth in a small group setting during program activities, discussions, and mentoring experiences alongside other adults and staff.

Activity Mentor - Help with hands-on programs such as outdoor learning, cooking, urban farm activities, career readiness, and other youth events while building positive connections with participants.

Skills Mentor - Use your experience to teach youth practical life and career skills such as job readiness, entrepreneurship, trades, communication, budgeting, leadership, or other valuable skills.

Event or Occasional Mentor - Serve at special events, workshops, or seasonal activities for those who want to support youth but may not be ready for an ongoing one-on-one commitment.

Roles and Responsibilities
As a youth mentor, your primary role is to support and guide your mentee. Responsibilities typically include:
